Cyprus is a perfect holiday country all year round. With over 330 days of sun Cyprus welcomes visitors in every season of the year.
Accommodation in Cyprus is not hard to find and the tourist can chose from a wide range of different kinds of accommodation; from luxury 5 star hotels in Limassol to a traditional guesthouse in a romantic mountain village.
The Cyprus Tourism Organisation distinguishes eight different classifications: hotels, hotel apartments, tourist apartments, tourist villas, tourist villages and camping sites, traditional houses and guesthouses.
Some of the accommodation categories don't really differ much. In those cases we decided to treat them as one on the Cyprus Holiday Guide, just to make finding your ideal holiday accommodation easier.

Hotels in Cyprus are rated 5 to no stars.
Hotel apartments have a reception and other hotel facilities.
Tourist apartments are mostly small scale, family run businesses.
Hotel and tourist apartments are rated from deluxe to C class.
Tourist villages are luxury resort-like accommodation complexes with plenty of facilities and amenities not to leave the premises. Tourist villages can be all-inclusive but not necessarily so.
Villas are privately owned, luxury 2 to 4 bedroom detached houses near the beach or in the mountains, most of them with private swimming pool. Guest houses and traditional houses also are quite similar in character, and therefore considered as one category on the Cyprus Holiday Guide.
Camping sites in Cyprus are rather basic but very popular with tourists as well as local visitors.
