Hiking & Biking

The many unspoilt areas in Cyprus create a wide range of activities and sports. Hike or bike through the many unspoilt areas in Cyprus. Recommended hiking and mountain biking trails include Atalante, Kaledonia and Persephone in the Troodos area and Aphrodite and Adonis in the Akamas area, with other trails in the forests of Machairas and Limassol.

Watersports

Being an island Cyprus also offers all sorts of water sports: opportunities abound for windsurfing, kite-surfing, diving, paragliding and swimming. Recommended beaches include Geroskipou, Dasoudi, Larnaca, Governor's, Dassoudi Beach, Germasogeia and Latchi Beach.

Entertaining Activities

Not in the mood for a lot of activity, but you are to restless to lay on the beach all day? No problem! There area lot of less active activities you can can choose from while beeing in Cyprus. For parents with children Cyprus offers, Water Parks, Fun Parks, Luna Parks, Animal Parks, Aquariums, Donkey Farms, a Zoo, a Camel Park, Kart tracks, and much much more.
For friends or couples, looking fore something to do, there are some very entertaining aternatives available like state-of-the art bowing alleys (currently 8 centres in Cyprus) and modern multiplex Cinemas.

Adventure

The numerous adventurous activities offered in Cyprus are second to none. Whilst in Cyprus you can indulge in rock-climbing, canyoning, jeep safaris, quad safaris, boat trips, horse back riding and sea kayaking to name just a few activities. Winter Sports

Cyprus is also becoming established as a destination for winter sports with some hoteliers and tour operators, offering off-peak incentives. Both Platres and Kakopetria are conveniently placed for the skiing season on Mount Olympus, which usually lasts from January to mid-March, but Troodos is actually the nearest resort to the skiing area. The Troodos Mountains offer excellent winter sports facilities and there are four ski-lifts on Mount Olympus.

Golf

Currently Cyprus has four 18 hole golf courses and a further 10 licences have been approved. These current four golf courses, all near Paphos, are: Aphrodite Hills, Secret Valley, Tsada and Venus Rock.

Tour operators and most hotels in Cyprus can help you book a mountain bike tour, horse back riding, a dive course, a sailing boat or other activities during your stay on Cyprus.
